Budapest Pride, Schlein “Here to defend freedom and democracy”

“We are here at Pride Budapest to defend freedom and democracy. We are here to express full solidarity with the Hungarian people and the Lgbtqia+ community. We are here to affirm that in our European Union, when you attack someone's rights, you attack the rights of all of us. We are here to say that you cannot ban love by law. You cannot erase our difference by law. You cannot erase gender identity. You cannot erase our bodies because they exist. And today we will hold them so tightly together, that the haters will not pass. No pasaran”. This is what the secretary of the Democratic Party Elly Schlein wrote on social media.
